Psychodynamic therapy focuses on what's going on beneath the surface of your mind, the unconscious. It dives into your past, explores how early experiences and relationships have shaped you, and uncovers those hidden patterns that might be influencing your present.

Think of it as piecing together a puzzle where the goal is to understand your emotions, relationships, and why you do what you do. Or as my last therapist explained, 'stepping into your house, and sorting through all the old stuff hidden in the attic.'

With your therapist as a guide, you’ll explore buried feelings, learn about your defences (defences are not necessarily all bad, we all have them), together we'll connect the dots between your past and present. It's all about gaining insight, and understanding yourself.

Whether it’s your career, relationships, or personal growth, As your coach, I'll be there to keep you focused, motivated, and moving forward. Think of it as having someone in your corner to help you dream big, tackle obstacles, and create the life you want—kind of like a teammate for your best self!

As your Coach we'll meet you once a month or every two weeks.

Western therapy focuses on the mind, approaches like 'mindfulness' and 'psychodynamic' give a little more power to the mind. Whereas Islamic approaches to Psychotherapy puts emphasis on the heart. The heart is the core, it is where we connect with God.

When working Islamically, we may draw upon spiritual reflections, Allah, the Qur’an, Hadith (Prophet Muhammad’s teachings) all to get to know yourself holistically.  It’s about finding peace within yourself through faith, while still addressing life’s ups and downs.
Al-Nu’man ibn Bashir reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

أَلَا وَإِنَّ فِي الْجَسَدِ مُضْغَةً إِذَا صَلَحَتْ صَلَحَ الْجَسَدُ كُلُّهُ وَإِذَا فَسَدَتْ فَسَدَ الْجَسَدُ كُلُّهُ أَلَا وَهِيَ الْقَلْبُ
“Verily, in the body is a piece of flesh which, if sound, the entire body is sound, and if corrupt, the entire body is corrupt. Truly, it is the heart.”

Islamic Therapy

We’ll start with a free 30-min therapeutic consultation. This gives us both a chance to see if we're a good fit before committing to the journey together.

During this call, you can:

  • Share what brings you to therapy

  • Ask questions about my approach

  • Learn more about what to expect

  • Get a feel for how we might work together

There's no obligation to continue after this conversation – finding the right therapist is important, and this step helps ensure we're well-matched for the work ahead.

Getting Started

I believe therapy should be accessible. Standard sessions are £50. If you’re a student or struggling financially, we can discuss what works for you during our initial consultation.
